Rest Fest - Event Poster

A poster desgined for a ficitional music event, with a theme of ambient electronic dance music.
Ambient and classical music can have significant overlap, so I took the musical idea of a ‘rest’ (moment where no music is played) and used that to drive the graphic direction.
Sheet music symbols feature in the key art, event logo and collateral, including a full rest, 4/4 signature, forte and natural. A cool, calming colour palette was chosen to fit the theme. Times New Roman ties back to musical notation, and is ofset with a heavily kerned Helvetica to add punch and modernity.
Backing artwork was made in Illustrator with a combination of vector paths, and a tracing of one of my own photographs was used to create the intricate linework beneath. Type, logo and symbols were assembled in Indesign. Lightroom was used to tighten up the colours, add a subtle ‘shade’ mask above the logo, and a textural layer of film grain. Mockup assembled in Adobe Photoshop.

An brochure desgined for a ficitional art exhibition. Being an art exhibition, I wanted the photography to shine with minimal graphic embellishments, so the idea of a thin rope that followed lines within each image came about.
White border framing was kept to keep the art gallery feeling intact and Helvetica Regular was used to reinforce this. The monochrone theme tied in nicely with ROOK ARI’s brand.

Grainy Days - Business Card

Great business cards are often more than a piece of paper. I adapted this idea for a film photography studio, incorporating a camera viewfinder in to the business card.
This simple addition adds a touch of interactivity for a more memorable design that encourages the user to keep looking for that next moment they might need to have captured. Film photography is inherently more tactile than digital formats, and this design reinforces this difference to the user.

Artwork I designed for a fictional electrionic music record using Adobe Illustrator. Key art was created using a combination of raw and remixed photographic material I created, converting subject matter to a pathing tool to create the glyph you see on the cover. Appropriate fonts were chosen, and an artist logo was created using vector paths.

Vector art created for this website and personal brand.
A ‘lossless’ format is a media file type wherein there is no ‘loss’ in quality when exporting from the source (ie music, video, images, etc.).
Letters were created using evenly spaced ‘cells’ of varying lengths within a structured grid. Cell shape was deisgned to evoke Apple’s IOS UI, building on the motif of a computer-within-computer.

Key event artwork for a Gaza Fundraiser held at ROOK ARI in 2025. Created using Canva, using the blurred shadow tool which added a cooling shade to the olive branches above. Colouring reflects that of the Palenstinian flag and preserves readability amongst the shadows. Simple but effective as a visual motif and symbolically.

An exercise in data visualization. Research pointed toward the need for a continual sense of growth for volutneers to stay interested and engaged with the organization.
What better metaphor than the sisyphusian hobby of climbing mountains, where constant adaptation, trial and error and utilization of past experiences are necessary at every turn.
